Sweetness will be open on Christmas Day!

We will be open from 7am-10am with coffee and a small variety of our delicious pastries for your Christmas morning goodies. We won't be cooking breakfasts but we'll have plenty to choose from!

Thanksgiving!

Don't forget, Tuesday is the last day to order pies, rolls, and desserts for your Thanksgiving celebration. We will be open tomorrow until 2pm and on Wednesday, November 23rd until 6pm.

A few announcements...

So, it looks like we're going to start getting some snow in the mountains today... skiers, don't forget that we're open at 6a.m. every day for sweets, savories, and hot drinks to get you going on your way to the slopes! Come in wearing your gear between 6-7am and get a free mini muffin!
*Thanksgiving is only 2 weeks away! Check the website under the "seasonal" button for our Thanksgiving specials or drop by the bakery for a menu- please order by Tuesday, November 22 to make sure you get what you need for your desserts and rolls.

Beginning next week, Sweetness will be closed on Tuesdays so we can have a day off and continue to bring you the best pastries and food possible. Thanks for all your support over the years and we'll see you soon!

New Fall Hours!

Starting today, Sweetness will be opening at 6am and closing at 2pm, Monday through Friday. We will still be open 7am-2pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Beginning on Sunday, September 11th, Sweetness will have breakfast specials every Sunday, and if you wear your Bears gear in on Sundays, you'll get 10% off any breakfast order! We've got some really gorgeous peach-blackberry pies today! The blackberries are a variety called a Youngberry, and they are from Winter's Farm in Troutdale. Come down and get some!

Just a note...

Lately we've been getting a lot of questions about gluten-free items. We do not carry anything gluten free, except for our scrambles and potatoes, and have no plans to offer any gluten-free pastries in the future.

If you are looking for gluten-free pastries, I suggest New Cascadia Traditional or Sweetpea Baking here in Portland. They are both great!

Sweetness News

A couple of new things down here:

*New table! Some wonderful customers brought us a new table and some chairs yesterday, which means we can accomodate more folks, which is great news for weekends. Now we just need to pick a color to paint it....

*The same folks who gave us the table also brought down a high chair. That brings our grand total to 2. And I'm trying to scare up a small changing table for the restroom. If anyone has one to get rid of, email me (Kay) at sweetnessbakeryandcafe@gmail.com. Thanks!

*It's going to be a great weekend, weather-wise, so head down to Sweetness for iced coffee and espresso drinks, breakfast, and delicious pastries. We will also have our booth up at the Woodstock Farmer's Market every Sunday from 9am-1pm. Last weekend was really busy so come early for the best selection- there will be mini pies but they sold out in about 30 minutes last Sunday!

Pie of the Day!

Peach-Strawberry Pies! Fresh local Hood strawberries (straight outta Troutdale) are combined with a touch of lemon juice and just enough sugar to bring out the flavors. $3.50, but there is a limited supply so get here fast!

Pies Galore at Sweetness!

Today we have the very last Strawberry-Rhubarb pies of the season. Our produce supplier told us that it was the last rhubarb available to them so get them while we got 'em! We've also got delicious Peach pies in the store today- they smelled so good I couldn't resist and I'm happy to report that they are amazing! Hope to see you today!
